Doctor series have influenced my life ever since I was a small child. Nothing stimulated my imagination as much as the thought of imitating my heroes. Consequently, I decided early on to become a doctor myself. However, I had to whinge about one aspect of this plan: as an outgoing Australian with a flair for appearances, the actors’ outfits bugged me.
During my time as a medic, I realised that the illusory world of television fully reflected reality as far as the clothing was concerned. The fashion dreariness in day to day working life was – and remains – blatantly obvious.. It is not just that the clothes look boring, but they are uncomfortable and not at all geared up to day-to-day working requirements. Full of enthusiasm to change something, I decided to put an end to this madness and without further ado, alongside my job, I founded a company with my wife to produce and sell fashionable and prestigious clothing for medical professionals.
As the idea picked up speed and initial success materialized, it was quickly clear that the project would demand more time, so I quit my job in medicine and have fully focused on our new business ever since.
For the Scrubs Collection, I sat down with a small team of specialists and what emerged defined canberroo’s typical characteristics: attractive medical clothing made of durable high-tech materials that are comfortable and pleasant to wear and withstand the day-to-day challenges of a medic’s life. Made “down under”.
